"The Greatest Novel Ever Written"

This link contains letters from Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard to Ayn Rand praising Atlas Shrugged. That Murray Rothbard would praise Rand so highly, in spite of their differences and his problems with her movement, is an obvious testimony to her charisma.

Thanks for publishing these letters. It had been a given that Mises's embedded assumption was that 'economics just is,' rather than something that is man made. His letter showed that economics became more in his world view having read 'Atlas Shrugged.'

Rothbard, on the other hand, later scoffs at those of us who have tried to get our arms completely around Objectivism over the years (i.e., integrate it into our lives fully). Descriptive words of such evil is not possible for me.

Thanks again.
