New Book by Tara Smith

ARI-associated scholar Tara Smith has a new book coming out, published by Cambridge University Press, called Ayn Rand's Normative Ethics: The Virtuous Egoist.

If you go to the link you will get an excerpt, table of contents and index. The book looks quite good, but based on the excerpt (the introduction) and the index heavy use of OPAR by Peikoff. It doesn't seem that Smith makes reference to non-ARI Objectivist scholars at all.

I read this book last year, and it is very good. Although a bit academic, Tara Smith writes very well, and it is easy to read. I imagine there are a few people like myself that had to have a dictionary handy, haha - but it was well worth the money and time to read it. I thought she did a good job explaining ethics based on Ayn Rand's philosophy. While I did enjoy reading OPAR, I was happy to see that it didn't have that feel/style at all. Very easy to read.
