If you're interested and if I find the time, I may elaborate but I will say that the fundamental problem lies in your methodological approach, in the way you evaluate your subject. This isn't an isolated incident as I've come across your writings a few times.Michael Cautionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02915960777917930497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27279074.post-11596572458951669182009-12-13T19:06:18.851-08:002009-12-13T19:06:18.851-08:00In all honesty, I have not yet read either of the ...In all honesty, I have not yet read either of the two latest books regarding Ayn Rand. But, to say someone is an "orthodox" Objectivist is not valid. Only reality itself could be described as orthodox...it never contradicts itself. I am an Objectivist and have been so since after my college years. There are a few things that I object to regarding her views on foreign policy as occurring at her time. I believe that were she alive today she would staunchly object to neo-conservatism, warmongerring and nation-building. I can, however, cut her some slack considering her background in Russia and the Cold War seriousness at that time. So, to conclude the any Objectivists are dogmatic about being the sole bearers of the total truth is fatuous. Objectivism is not a movement, but is a source of getting at the truth for the new intellectual. rtaylortitle@aol.comrtaylortitlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04398331289779781763noreply@blogger.com
